- Cut up Korean or bosc pear (about 2 cups of pieces)
- 8 cloves of garlic (about 2 - 3 tbsp)
- 1 medium onion, cut up in chunks
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup cooking wine
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- (optional but it adds flavor) 1 tbsp liquid smoke)
Put the chunks of pear, garlic, onion and ginger in a blender or processor, blend into a smooth paste. Add the rest of the ingredients, and marinate up to 3 lbs of beef overnight.
